SR Motos, a Calcutta-based EV startup that specializes in electric off-road motorcycles, is working on a full-fledged electric motocross bike. And before you doubt their caliber, let’s tell you that the company already has eight e-bikes in its portfolio.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, this project, known as Project SR 13, is said to be the company’s flagship. To the best of our knowledge, the chassis and suspension are a <\/span>Hero impulse<\/span><\/a> while the body comes from the Honda CRF150. <\/span><\/p>\n

As for the engine, the company hasn’t released full specs yet. Instead, to give us an idea, it has a 100m drag race between the SR 13 and the <\/span>KTM 390 adventure<\/span><\/a>. And to our astonishment, the SR 13 keeps up with the 43HP gasoline-powered ADV.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, SR Motors has also posted many videos of the SR 13, which is undergoing extensive off-road testing, which again gives an idea of \u200b\u200bits capabilities. More details are expected to follow shortly, so stay tuned on ZigWheels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the SR 13 electric bike is still in the testing phase, there is still some time to go before it is sold. But whenever it happens we are sure that it will be a strong, environmentally friendly alternative to ICE motocross bikes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
