None of the motorcycles had front or rear lights, according to the report. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>A 2009 Ford Escape headed west collided with both motorcycles, ejecting both drivers.  Cheyenne Mather, 48, of Liberty Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The second driver, whose name was not mentioned in the report, was transported to the Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>A GoFundMe set up by Garrett Hicks said the second driver was Mather&#8217;s friend Matt.  A surname was not given. <i>The independent one<\/i> could not confirm the identity of the second driver at DPS by the editorial deadline this week.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span>The driver of the Ford escaped from the scene, but was later located, according to the report.  The driver&#8217;s name was not given.  The preliminary report did not reveal any charges against the driver.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span>Mather was known for her wild cowgirl spirit and infectious laugh, friends say.  Her family was known on the rodeo circuit.  Her father James was inducted into the Liberty Hill Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2014.  Her son Cimarron Rucker started professional bull riding this year.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>Mather started working at the Hometown Watering Hole in Bertram this summer to help out her lifelong friend Susan Anderson who owns the bar. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>The Bertram-Bar posted on Facebook about the loss on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>&#8220;If you knew her, you knew how BIG she loved, how unbelievably wild she was and how contagious her laugh and wild cowgirl spirit were,&#8221; the Facebook post said.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>Anderson told <i>The independent one<\/i> that Mather was reliable and trustworthy and gave more than 100% every day.  She said Mather was a total cowgirl who loved her glamor and bright colors.  But it was her ability to love the great that will be missed most.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>&#8220;She always made sure everyone she knew or cared about knew she was loved,&#8221; said Anderson.  &#8220;She said it out loud and made sure you knew that she was important to you and that she loved you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">    <\/span>A tour of the Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown will take place on January 4, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm.  A funeral service will be held on January 5th at 11 a.m. at Elroy Foust Cemetery, 4450 RM 1869, Liberty Hill.  Following the funeral service around 1 p.m., there will be a reception for family and friends in the Mather Arena.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>A bank account has been set up at Vera Bank in Liberty Hill to support the family.  The account is in the name of Cimarron Rucker, or donations are accepted by Venmo @ Cimarron-Rucker.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>Contributions can be accepted to offset the cost of reception.  More than 250 are expected.
