I’ve looked at a lot Muc-Off<\/a> Motorcycle products recently, and in the box was a small pump-top spray bottle of Muc-Off Premium Anti-Fog Treatment.<\/p>\n

With the winter here, the Pacific Northwest has cooled considerably. It will be easier to find the right temperature and dew point for fogged glasses and face shields. As luck would have it, it started to rain and the temperature dropped to 49 degrees – perfect foggy weather.<\/p>\n

\"Muc-Off<\/a><\/p>\n

The instructions are written on the back of the bottle in such small font that I had to snap a high resolution photo of it and read it from my photo gallery. Just shake the bottle, spray a light layer on both sides of your glasses or motorcycle helmet face shield. Wipe dry with a cloth. The result shouldn’t be fogging of glasses or face shields.<\/p>\n

I went outside, sniffed a few times on my everyday glasses, and they fogged up. I got back inside and sprayed a light layer on both sides of the lenses and wiped them dry with toilet paper (our facial tissues have aloe on them). I immediately went back outside and snorted at my glasses and they wouldn’t fog up. So I not only found a solution to keep my glasses fog-free when driving in the early morning or in the rain, but also when wearing a face mask where it is required.<\/p>\n

The next test was a helmet visor. Some manufacturers make their shields fog-free at the factory, while others have an inlaid anti-fog shield that is attached to the inside of a standard shield with pin fasteners. After zooming in to a readable state, I found the instructions tell me not to apply Muc-Off Premium Anti-Fog Treatment to an already fog-free surface and to use a paper towel instead of a microfiber cloth after application.<\/p>\n

I took the helmet outside and snorted at the shield, and it fogged up immediately. I brought it in and sprayed about half the inside – you can spray the outside too to help spread the rain. After thoroughly drying the muc-off side of the visor with toilet paper, I took it outside and almost passed out from hyperventilation while trying to fog the muc-off side of the visor with my breath.<\/p>\n

It just works. After using it for a while, I’ve found that you can wipe it off almost as easily as you can mop it up. If you treat your glasses and then clean them, you remove the Muc-Off Premium Anti-Fog treatment. The same with the shield coating. The bottle says that the anti-fog coating will last for five days. In my tests, that’s exactly – if you don’t touch or clean the surface. Beyond the claims, it still worked on the visor after 10 days because the inside of the visor was not touched.<\/p>\n

\"Muc-Off<\/a><\/p>\n

After some practice, I found that I could coat both lenses of my glasses with a single pump stroke by holding my glasses almost parallel to the spray. The same with the shield. I learned to use fewer pumps to get the same coverage. I didn’t count the splashes in the 1.1 ounce bottle, but you don’t use much with each application. You get plenty of anti-fog for $ 15 MSRP.<\/p>\n

The Muc-Off Premium Anti-Fog Treatment Bottle is small enough and toilet paper is (thankfully) plenty enough to take with you if you expect fogging issues when touching the treated surfaces. In a world in which products are usually subject to personal preferences and experience distortions, this product is characterized by the fact that it does what its name says – anti-fogging.<\/p>\n
