A new two-wheeler, responsive and easy to use, feel comfortable on all types of paths and asphalt<\/strong>. The project was born in 2019 when Ducati launched the concept to the public and sparked a strong and positive response from motorcyclists from around the world. The house has implemented this concept in a functional, competent and effective motorcycle.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The design is a modern take on the lines of the Enduro motorcycle of the eighties<\/strong>, created by the Ducati Style Center according to the criteria of essentiality and robustness. As far as the suspension is concerned, DesertX is characterized by its professional and high-quality equipment.<\/p>\n The DesertX (already expected last September) mounts completely new wheels for a Ducati<\/strong>, in the dimensions 21 “at the front and 18” at the rear: the typical dimensions of off-road motorcycles. The original equipment tires are the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR in sizes 90 \/ 90-21 and 150\/70 R18.<\/p>\n The braking system<\/strong> Like all bikes from the manufacturer Borgo Panigale, it is equipped with an ABS cornering function. The ergonomics were developed in long and demanding off-road and asphalt test drives. The saddle is positioned 875 mm above the ground. Ducati has worked on content that makes DesertX comfortable on every type of route: The seating position is comfortable for both the driver and the front passenger thanks to the specific definition of shape and upholstery for each of the two seats.<\/p>\n Autonomy suitable for longer journeys<\/strong> This is ensured by the tank with a capacity of more than 21 liters and the possibility of adding a second tank in the rear of the bike as an accessory to add another 8 liters of petrol. The DesertX also has an excellent load capacity, with almost 120 liters of space between the bags and the aluminum top case.<\/p>\n The engine of the new DesertX is the popular desmodromic distributor engine Headastretta 11 \u00b0 of 937 cm3<\/strong> liquid-cooled. It is characterized by excellent reliability and has an output of 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The typical Ducati performance is combined with a regular and always manageable performance, which offers the rider a bike that masters every route with great safety. The engine relies on all the improvements that were already seen on the Monster and Multistrada V2 (introduced last October).
