DOYLE, California.<\/strong> – Up to 400 riders are expected to participate in a series of motorcycle races on Saturday and Sunday, November 13-14, in the Fort Sage Off-Highway Vehicle Area near Doyle. Access to the track will only be available to participants while the races are in progress. The pit area and the start \/ finish line are only accessible to participants and their support teams. <\/p>\n “We’re excited to make this site for competitive dirt bike riders,” said Emily Ryan, manager of the Bureau of Land Management at Eagle Lake Field Office in Susanville. \u201cWe developed a circuit that avoids vehicle impacts on areas that were burned in recent forest fires. The racetrack presents challenges for drivers and avoids areas where grasses and shrubs come back. ” <\/p>\n The Fort Sage event is organized by Division 36 of the American Motorcyclist Association and Cross-Country Promotions, which has special recreational permits from the BLM. The organizers will provide marshals and the BLM will provide rangers and staff to oversee the event.<\/p>\n BLM manages the Fort Sage OHV property in line with the Biden government’s America the Beautiful initiative, which aims to provide invaluable recreational opportunities while preserving healthy public land. <\/p>\n
