I am a stalker. In California and Oregon, it’s legal to stand on public roads and highways (including highways, but it takes too much force at 65 mph) in California and Oregon, and that’s where I drove Ultimate motorcycling<\/em> Yamaha T\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 700 Project Bike<\/a>. I’ve worn my Klim GTX Adventure Boots every 2000 miles of road and off-road fun. I found myself hugging \/ rubbing the insides of both boots on the engine to get a sure footing. I knew I needed a wider footpeg for my riding style and comfort for the first few hours on the bike, and that’s where the Touratech Works footpegs come in.<\/p>\n Touratech<\/a> is a 25 year old company that manufactures many of the products it sells and exclusively equips adventure motorcycles and their riders. Touratech is familiar with off-road adventure driving and its products are designed to last. The Works footpegs ($ 200 \/ pair) are made of stainless steel with an open design to prevent mud and debris buildup. The equipment is specific to the Yamaha Tenere 700<\/a>, although Touratech has factory footpegs for many ADV motorcycles, including models from BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM and Triumph.<\/p>\n The instructions are illustrated and very well made. Installation is simple and only requires needle-nose pliers to loosen a split pin.<\/p>\n In my case, one of the included aluminum bushings in my kit needed a little wire brush rubbing to slide the clevis pin in smoothly. I happened to have the right size rubbing brush, although corrective action could have been done with some sandpaper. I was surprised that the bushing didn’t need any attention, as all the other products I got from Touratech were always made with precision.<\/p>\n The second tenon was installed in less than two minutes. The Touratech Works footpeg replacement is one of the easiest and fastest upgrades I’ve made on the Ultimate motorcycling<\/em> Yamaha T\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 700 project bike.<\/p>\n I took a few photos from the ground and looked at the bottom of my boots and the pegs. You can clearly see that the wider Touratech Works footrest keeps me away from the engine, while the standard footrest presses my boot against the engine.<\/p>\n After standing several hundred kilometers since the installation, I no longer think about my boat position. You are now correctly placed and feel safe. The additional size of the Touratech Works footpegs is a small adjustment that has had a very positive effect on my driver ergonomics and my overall comfort.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a>
