We’re finally taking a good look at the 2022 Aprilia Tuareg 660. While we don’t have a full datasheet yet, that won’t stop us from sharing what we know.<\/p>\n

The 2022 Aprilia Tuareg 660 is based on the same platform as the RS 660<\/a> and Thunder 660<\/a>, after Aprilia.<\/strong> We’re not sure what this means beyond the DOHC parallel twin engine, which Aprilia says is “redesigned” and “fine-tuned to handle even the most demanding off-road driving”. The maximum output is 80 horsepower and 52 ft-lbs of torque.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. The ergonomics are “specially designed for off-road driving”.<\/strong> Aprilia<\/a> describes the Tuareg as “slim body volume”. Update: The seat height is 33.8 inches, with a low seat option.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Aprilia describes the new 660 Adventure as “long-stroke suspension”. <\/strong>Aprilia doesn’t give any numbers, although a spokesman claims the Tuareg’s suspension “guarantees its ability to negotiate any obstacle with a comfortable ride on the road and when touring.” Update: Aprilia claims 9.4 inches of travel at both ends. The wheelbase is 59 inches and the ground clearance is 9.5 inches.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

The dry weight is reported to be 412 pounds.<\/strong> It’s always disappointing when manufacturers toss the meaningless “dry weight” around without clarifying what “dry” is – it’s not consistent from brand to brand. Come on Aprilia. Enter the weight with a full tank. Speaking of which, we don’t have a word about fuel capacity. Update: Aprilia now claims a 449 pound wet weight and 4.75 gallon fuel tank.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. The new Tuareg 660 offers electronics in abundance. <\/strong>Four customizable driving modes are a good place to start. Adjustability includes power output, traction control, and engine braking. As an adventure touring motorcycle, it has cruise control. To make setting up the electronics easier, there is a five-inch TFT dashboard. ABS is fixable – either just the front wheel or both wheels.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. Aprilia plans to offer a wide range of accessories. <\/strong>An owner can customize the Tuareg to be more off-road or more comfortable for touring applications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. The list price of the Aprilia Tuareg 660 2022 starts at $ 11,999.<\/strong> That’s the price you get in Acid Gold and Martian Red color options. Drop $ 12,599 on the table and Indaco Tagelmust is yours. Aprilia describes the blue, white and red Indaco Tagelmust as a nostalgic graphic. We think it looks great.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                1. Pre-orders will start on November 3rd in Europe and November 10th in the US. <\/strong>Delivery of the 2022 Aprilia Tuareg 660 will begin in the first quarter of 2022. Update: Aprilia narrowed it down to February.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
