I stop to help other motorcyclists who need assistance. If I throw two fingers at passing drivers, I’m telling them I’m behind them. I make all trips on the Ultimate motorcycling<\/em> The Yamaha T\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 700 Project Bike needs a bottle cage that can withstand bumps and shocks without coming loose. I found Viking bags<\/a> in Southern California had the universal mount, a 2.5 x 3.5 x 8.25 inch one liter bottle cage that I was looking for.<\/p>\n

The Viking Bags Bottle Holster is a Cordera bottle cage bag designed to securely carry sealed fuel or water bottles off-road. It features four 24-inch triple-stitched straps with friction buckles, as well as an over-the-top strap to keep the fuel or water tank firmly in the holster. The four straps offer plenty of flexibility to attach the bottle holster.<\/p>\n

The position of the straps allows a metal bottle to be secured firmly against a frame member or hung like a spider web. The long straps allow real flexibility in any installation position. I mounted it on the back end of the seat, the open space between the saddlebag mounts and the rear, and on top of the hard panniers. The bottle does not move and is easily accessible when needed.<\/p>\n

The Viking Dirt Bike Bottle Holster is additionally reinforced with a sewn strap around the center section and two rows of reflective piping. The interior is lined with a smooth synthetic fabric that will hold water long enough to be carried off a stream and poured over your head on a hot day.<\/p>\n

I can’t imagine the holster would come loose and bounce behind me, but if it did, the heavy Cordura \u2014 the same material found on the knees and elbows of my textile jackets and pants \u2014 would definitely protect it. The over-the-top strap allowed for an extra inch of webbing after being pulled tightly through the top of my one-liter fuel bottle and my 24-ounce water bottle. It will not work for bottles larger than 10.5 inches.<\/p>\n

Although marketed for carrying bottles, I can see carrying tire levers and other large tools in it as well.
