Racers compete in third round of 424 Cross Country Champs – Ridge Times

A Saturday filled with the roaring of off-road motorcycles kicked off at The Tapkar Venue near Delmas.

Round three of The 424 Cross Country Championship off-road series took place on May 7, on the farm of Johannes Potgieter.

Potgieter is a well-known rally driver and his team assisted with the preparation of the track and getting it perfect for the race.

The track consisted of nice open spreads, wetlands, some ‘twisties’, ploughed lands and lots of mud.

According to the global positioning system (GPS), the track was 29.3 kilometers in total.

The race started at Die Tapkar on the farm Vlakplaats, situated on the R50 just outside Delmas.

According to the organizers, everything went perfect; the vibe was great and the food delicious.

The entire event went smooth and all enjoyed the bonfire after a competitive race.

The organizers thanked the hands-on women for an extraordinary event by successfully managing to host 800 plus people without any hiccups.

Special thanks also went out to Die Tapkar for making it possible to host this 424 event on the farm.

The management of 424 also expressed their appreciation to all the sponsors who made the 424 Cross Country Championship possible.
