A man who rode a dirt bike died after hitting a rock face in east El Paso county on Tuesday, sheriff officials said.
Eric Estevez, 32, of the Horizon City area, died after crashing into a rock face on the 1200 block of Zapata Street around 7 a.m., officials said. Estevez did not wear a helmet
The crash occurred near the Desert Wind School in a neighborhood on the north side of Interstate 10, east of Horizon Boulevard.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that motorcyclists are advised to wear a helmet and never ride off-road motorcycles and ATVs on roads.
