The number of visitor arrivals on Saturday, the second day of the 3-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday season, declined by one third compared with Friday. The city recorded some 21,302 tourist arrivals, down from the previous day’s 33,173 tally, according to data from the Public Security Police.
The daily average so far stands at about 27,000, in line with the figures recorded during this year’s Chinese New Year holiday period.
Data from today (Sunday) showed that some 11,000 tourists had arrived in the city, as of 5pm, while the number of those leaving the SAR was about 21,500.
